Global Summer Intensive (GSI)
What is GSI?
Global Summer Intensive is a three-week practical ministry school with an emphasis on impartation and equipping students for a life of walking in the supernatural. GSI is a very condensed summertime version of Global School of Supernatural Ministry which holds classes from September through May. In 2020 GSI will only be offered an online school.
Who is GSI for?
Anyone may apply, but GSI is provided for those who are not able to attend the nine month Global School course. This may include pastors, missionaries, college students, teachers, or simply people with limited time availability. People of all ages are students of GSI, beginning with high school students going into their senior year all the way to people in their 70's.
What will the GSI class schedule look like?
Global Summer Intensive will be held June 7 – 26, 2020. The daily Monday – Friday schedule will be 9:00AM – 12:30PM and 2:00PM - 4:30PM. There will also be two outreach events per week and three required reading assignments (one is completed before the course begins). Registration and online orientation is Sunday afternoon, June 7th beginning at 5PM Eastern Time.
Because of the variety of regional travel and social contact restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic (including in Pennsylvania where Global Awakening's headquarters is located), in 2020 GSI will only be offered as an online school. There will be no on-site Summer Intensive this year.
This option is available for both currently registered students and new applicants alike. GSI classes can be viewed both live and through video on demand. Alternative outreaches, small groups and activation opportunities will be offered to students online. All course requirements must be completed within the same dates as the on-site course, including assignments, outreaches and viewing of class sessions. Tuition is the same as the on-site course, $1000.00. Upon final acceptance to GSI, an orientation to the online format will be provided to the student.
How can GSI benefit me?
People from many walks of life and all types of ministry callings will find their time at GSI to be invaluable. If you want to see the Kingdom more clearly, to have God's power flow through you as a lifestyle, or you have a passion to make a difference with your life beyond your natural ability, this school is for you. You will come into a community of like-minded pursuers of Jesus and will discover here not just what you learn but who you meet and the empowerment you will receive.
Where are the classes held?
Classes are ordinarily held at Global Awakening's Apostolic Resource Center, located at 1451 Clark St. Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. In 2020 we can only offer GSI as an online school during these dates.
What types of topics will be covered at GSI?
Healing, how to prophesy, impartation, power evangelism, identity in Christ, character development, destiny clarification, covenant, and hearing God's voice are just some of the topics that will be covered. The confirmed speakers for GSI 2020 include Dr. Randy Clark, Dr. Mike Hutchings, Katie Luse, Dale Mast, Dr. Mark Virkler, Joanne Moody, Dr. Alan Hawkins, Trisha Frost and more!
What is the tuition for GSI?
The tuition for the entire school is only $1000.00. No discounts or scholarships are available. Under normal GSI circumstances, tuition does not include housing, transportation, books, or meals. There is a $75 non-refundable application fee.
What are my housing options for the time that I attend?
Under usual GSI circumstances, after someone is accepted as a student they are provided a link to our forum with possible host home options. These are first come, first serve, so apply as early as possible. Students have the freedom to find their own housing solution of whatever kind but securing housing is the responsibility of the student.
How do I apply?
Register online using our secure, encrypted form. Please note that you cannot save your application while working on it, so plan to complete the application in one sitting. Be prepared to enter the names and email addresses of two personal references and one pastoral reference, as well as to provide health insurance information. GSI applications will close May 29, 2020.
